Sapna Advani

Based in NY, Sapna is a dancer-choreographer, well-versed in many styles like Ballet, Contemporary/Lyrical, Commercial Jazz, Street Jazz, Commercial Heels, Bharatanatyam and Bollywood. She’s worked with well-known names in the business such as Bollywood Choreographer Rajiv Surti (Dance India Dance) and her highly reputable mentor – Jazz, artists such as Vidya Vox, Shankar Tucker, Francesca Maria and Jonita Gandhi. She’s choreographed and performed for the Philadelphia Sixers Half-time Show, New York Knicks Opening Act, and A R Rahman Musical Act (IIFA Rocks 2017). Sapna currently serves as the Assistant Creative Director for AATMA Performing Arts along with being a principal dancer for the Company’s Touring Production, Mystic India: The World Tour.

Kruti Shah

Kruti was a top-10 finalist on Hrithik Roshan’s reality series, Just Dance on Star Plus in 2011. While in Mumbai, she earned critical acclaim from Bollywood icons like Hrithik Roshan, Farah Khan, Vaibhavi Merchant, Terence Lewis, and legendary Saroj Khan – who bestowed upon Kruti her token of honor and respect, the Rs.101 ka Shagun. On return to the US Kruti fueled her creative ingenuity behind Mystic India: The World Tour, a Bollywood dance spectacular. She’s a sole recipient of the New Jersey Honored Dance Excellence Award from the highly competitive NJ State Governor’s School dance program and is founder and director of Sanskruti School of Cultural Dance.

Trupti Kotian

Trupti was born and raised in Mumbai, India and currently lives in New Jersey. She is the owner and Director of Rhythmdancers North Brunswick, NJ. She has trained dancers of all levels in Bollywood, salsa, hip hop, and folk and continues to find ways to expand her dance horizons. She has performed on stage competitions and has choreographed corporate events. Dancing exhilarates her and she wants everyone she teaches to feel that joy!

Geatali Tampy

Geatali began her dance training at the age of 5, and fell in love with the art while learning the styles of Bharatanatyam and semi-classical. Since then she has also studied ballet, jazz/contemporary, Bollywood, West African, modern, hip hop, and tap and continues to find ways to expand her dance horizons. Geatali has been teaching dance for about 8 years, and continues her passion for dancing by seizing various dance opportunities and furthering her training in different styles of dance. Though she has been dancing for about 20 years, Geatali knows her dance journey has only just begun.

Ramya Ravuri

Ramya is currently a rising sophomore at Rutgers University studying Computer Science in the SAS honors program. She danced with Arya Dance Academy for five years, competed for three years, and performed in ICS and multiple dance events. She also recently began choreographing for Indian Cultural Society of East Brunswick. In her free time, she is involved in various volunteer organizations at university and in her local community.

Urvashi Jivani

Uvi is a Dubai born businesswoman, choreographer, and proud mum of a feisty 10 year old. She is the founder and co-owner of ‘Solemates Dance School’ and has patented and co-created the “BollyShape Fitness Workout” that incorporates Bollywood flair, dance, and high-intensive exercise into every move and is taught at numerous fitness clubs in the state. Uvi has spent most of her childhood training at Cinderella School of Ballroom Dancing & her adult life training in Jazz and Bollywood. She has performed on stage for Bollywood live shows, competitions and corporate events. Dancing exhilarates her and she wants everyone she teaches to feel that joy!

Kamal Sharma

Kamal is a passionate Bollywood dancer, choreographer and a partner at Solemates Dance School In Piscataway, NJ. Born and raised in Dubai, her childhood passion for dance has led her to spreads the love to little kids and adults alike.
Some of her credentials include performances at IIFA, NY in 2017 where she was part of Salman Khan’s performance, the Dream Team Concert, NJ in 2016 where she was part of Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif’s performances along with other Bollywood celebrities. She also participated in the opening act at the Cricket All-Stars exhibition Twenty20 Cricket series at MetLife Stadium in 2015. Kamal is also a fitness instructor and promotes her trademark pending Bollywood dance fitness, BollyShape, in the gyms around NJ.

Savitha Anand

Savitha was born and raised in Bangalore, India and currently lives in New Jersey. She is the owner and director of Split Soul Dance Station, North Brunswick, NJ. She has trained dancers of all levels in Bollywood, Freestyle, Semi Classical, Belly, Zumba and Salsa. Savitha completed her BBM from
Bangalore University. Her dance training began at a young age and over the past years she has studied from such notable dancers as Sneha (Salsa), Meher Mallik (Belly) etc. Savitha is a member of Zing (Zumba Certified Instructor).

Aditya Dada

Aditya is currently an Associate Partner with McKinsey and Company – a management consulting firm. He’s passionate about Bhangra. Aditya first started doing Bhangra in Patiala back in 1996 while completing his Bachelor’s degree where he represented his year in cultural dance competitions. Fast forward 10 years, and while pursuing his MBA at the Wharton school, Aditya choreographed Bhangra performances that won the international cultural dance competitions both the years. In his free time he likes to spend time with his kids.

Anu Narang

Dancing since very early age, Anupama is very passionate about dance; finds joy and freedom in expressing herself creatively through music and movement. Anupama runs a Bollywood dance academy (A.D.A Bollywood Dance), has choreographed, performed and taught a variety of dance styles like Bollywood, folk dance, Bhangra over the years. She has worked with organisations like Surati and Sanskriti in NJ that contribute to educate and enrich communities globally about the diverse cultural heritage of India through dance performances,festivals, conducting classes, events, workshops.

Shivani Badgi

Shivani is a New Jersey/New York based dancer with 20 years of combined dance experience in Kathak, Ballet, Bollywood, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip-Hop. She began her training in dance at the age of five under Guru Padma Khanna at Indianica Academy. She furthered her dance education at Joffrey Ballet School, Mason Gross School of Arts at Rutgers University, and Broadway Dance Center. She has had the opportunity to perform on reputable stages at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center during the 50th Anniversary of Lincoln Center, at Warwick Castle and Island Gardens for the American Alliance of Performing Arts London Invitational, and NYU Skirball Centre.

Akash Minocha

Akash became passionate about Folk Bhangra and got his first lessons by watching collegiate teams at national competitions. During his college he competed with multiple Tri-State teams, like NYU Pandemonium, and Rutgers Bhangra Team. Post college, Akash led and choregraphed for a nationally known team Anakh-E-Gabroo from Queens, NY. They went on to win some of the biggest bhangra competitions in North America and performed with Diljit Dosanjh at IIFA Rocks. Akash is now looking forward to creating a Bhangra Fitness platform with the focus of Health and Wellness for an overall Bhangra experience.

Apurva Bhalerao

Apurva “Ava” Bhalerao is a 29 year old choreographer/actress from Princeton, NJ. After completing her bharatnatyam arengetram from The Kalanjali School of Dance in 2007 she enrolled in Mason Gross at Rutgers University. She has choreographed large scale productions such as Western Ghats and [email protected] for the non profit theater company, Theatrix, performing in front of a 3000 strong audience. In 2016 she acted, as the lead, in the Marathi feature film, “A Dot Com Mom” directed by Dr. Meena Nerurkar. Currently she works as a Project Manager at a design firm in NJ while also pursuing her passion of dance and acting.
